The Royal Bump is getting closer to becoming the next living heir to the English throne as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Will and Kate) prepare for her impending birth, and I think I’ve found them the perfect gift.
The hottest new talent in British illustration – not just because of his impressive designs, the man is pretty darn tasty himself – Will Grill has collaborated with British heritage brand Radley on a new capsule range for AW13. Together with the brand’s classic tote shape, travel pieces and the cutest pair of wellies around, Grill has also applied his artistry to a gorgeous baby bag.
The ideal accompaniment to a British royal’s new parent attire, this is not just any nappy bag as it features the intricate motif that covers Grill’s ‘Streets of London Collection’. From the red and black-clad Beefeaters who stand guard outside Buckingham Palace to cricketers, police constables and the local butcher, not to mention many a yummy mummy with pram in tow; Grill has taken his inspiration from the very London metropolis through which Kate will cart her newborn prince.
And now Radley have released a motion video which brings Grill’s animated ‘Streets of London’ to life:
The 22 year old’s illustrative talents are most certainly one to watch as he ascends his climb to deserved fame. In person, gracious and modest, focused on his creative passion, his work speaks for itself.
