Not content with being the official designer for the London 2012 Olympics, extending her global reach and taking home an OBE in the New Year’s honours list at the start of 2013, Stella McCartney has once again bestowed her talents on designing an exclusive line of t-shirts for Comic Relief.
Photographer Mary McCartney has worked with supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen to capture a number of famous faces modeling Stella’s designs, with British fashion icon Kate Moss and comedian David Walliams fronting the campaign.
Additional faces sporting the philanthropic range reads like a who’s who of an A List red carpet roll call, with Cameron Diaz, Liv Tyler, Hayley Atwell, Eddie Remayne, and Paul Bettany joining music’s finest Tinie Tempah, Robbie Williams, Moby, and Kasabian, as well as model David Gandy, Paralympian Jonnie Peacock and Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington. There will be one other world famous celebrity donning a tee from the range, though McCartney is keeping it close to her chest for the moment. (My money’s on Beyonce).
The designer has created five unique designs, featuring icon prints of The Beatles, Tommy Cooper, Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss and a child’s giraffe print t-shirt, each made from 100% Fairtrade certified organic cotton. TK Maxx will carry the Red Nose Day t-shirts (starting from £5.99 for a children’s tee and £9.99 for adult sizes) in stores and online with profits of between £2.50 and £5.99 going towards Comic Relief 2013.
