The Mummy to one of the world’s chicest mini fashionistas, Harper Beckham, has some exciting news for the fashion industry. Victoria Beckham is following up the launch of her brand new e-commerce site victoriabeckham.com with the debut ICON collection this February.
The collection is exclusive to the site and offers slinky numbers in classic hues as well as new, limited availability runs with new styles due to be added throughout the year. The inaugural ICON capsule is comprised of a tightly edited set of seven dresses (one for every day of the week) selected from the first season, charting designs from SS09 onwards. Dress 136 (pictured), for example, was originally of the SS12 collection though has been reworked in colour-blocked spearmint and navy for the ICON collection.
“Together with my personal edit of the SS13 collections I wanted to be able to offer an exclusive product on the site that was in keeping with the signature aesthetic that’s very special to me,” Beckham said. “I introduced Icon in response to requests for designs from as far back as my first collection from customers, and I wanted to find a way to offer them key dresses from the archive, but in newly reworked colours and fabrics.”
The mum-of-four, who has dressed everyone from Beyonce to Kristen Stewart revealed her plan for the collection: “I hope these updated styles will become unique, limited edition pieces and am excited to revisit other archive designs as the Icon collection continues to grow.”
The Icon line will launch at victoriabeckham.com next month, with prices starting from £1,000, alongside the designer’s denim, accessories and eyewear collections.
