Next month signals the time of year when thoughts turn to matters of the heart, both romantic and otherwise. To mark not only the day when lovers treat each other to grand amorous gestures and singletons take a baseball bat to heart-shaped piñatas, but also the fact that February is National Heart Month; Radley is launching its exclusively designed red leather ‘Pocket’ bag.
Designed in soft nappa leather in a cross body style, the classic shape has been especially embellished with a leather heart tag, and that’s not all. Complementing the ‘Pocket’ bag is a printed canvas tote which takes the iconic Scottie dog motif of Radley’s designs and transforms them with a heart shape print. Priced at £99 and £10 respectively, 15% of profits from both designs will go to the British Heart Foundation as Radley continues its long-standing relationship with the charity.
Head of Corporate Partnerships at the BHF, Amit Aggarwal, said of the joint venture: “We’re delighted to be working with Radley again this year. National Heart Month is our flagship fundraising campaign – their consistent support is proving vital in our fight for every heart beat”.
Roger Best, Chairman and acting CEO at Radley, commented on the brand’s dedication to this worthwhile cause, noting the prevalence of heart disease in our society and people’s dependence on its work. He said: “Radley is delighted at the opportunity to once again help raise funds in the fight against heart disease with the BHF. To date, our partnership has raised over £75,000 and we hope to significantly increase that figure this year”.
The bags will be available in all 21 Radley stores nationwide and online from 1 February offering fashion connoisseurs an opportunity to infuse their spring wardrobe with style, philanthropy and, not forgetting, a healthy dose of love.
