She made her film debut at the tender age of 21, starring alongside Pierce Brosnan as Bond Girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, and she’s currently to be seen wielding the power of the law against Tom Cruise’s Jack Reacher, before turning her hand to British comedy The World’s End opposite Simon Pegg due out later this year; but away from her cinematic accomplishments Rosamund Pike has just been named as the face of footwear and accessories label L.K. Bennett.
Aligning her latest venture to her thoughts on career and style, Pike said: “I think that L.K. Bennett is the perfect brand for the working woman because it gives you that ability to feel dressed and polished without feeling overdone and I think that is the key to making you feel good and giving you confidence. It gives you freedom to play and that’s what makes clothes exciting.”
English rose Pike has been shot by renowned photographer Mariano Vivanco for the brand’s SS13 mainline and Black Ribbon campaigns, in the quintessentially British locale of Belgravia overlooking the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Dressed in pieces from the SS13 Collection, in ice cream hues of lavender, lemon and blush, and showcasing the luxury tailoring, fine wool, Scottish cashmere and stretch leather of the Black Ribbon capsule; Pike lends just the right touch of genteel sophistication.
Didier Drouet, CEO of L.K. Bennett, commented on the appointment of the British actress as the label’s newest ambassador, believing her English charm and celebrated career make her the ideal candidate to be the face of the latest collection. He said: “The SS13 collection further cements L.K. Bennett as a modern British, affordable luxury brand and we are very excited to have Rosamund Pike front the campaign. Her beauty and intelligence in the roles she has played on film are captivating. The energy and life she brings to the images perfectly encapsulate the L.K. Bennett woman.”
The brand is also preparing for another exciting collaboration next month, as L.K. Bennett by Caroline Issa launches on 19 February. Style icon and Fashion Director of Tank magazine, Caroline Issa, has taken her personal love of Thailand and designed two clutch bags and six pairs of footwear featuring hot neon embroidery and bright pom-poms.
Issa’s offering pays the perfect complement to the sumptuous fabrics and charismatic prints of the new collections, with key pieces including chic stiletto courts, an oversized clutch and metallic patent strappy sandals. The Spring/Summer 2013 collections are available in-store and at the brand’s website.
