This week saw hip hop artist Azealia Banks release new single Fierce, exclusively for online fashion retailer ASOS as part of its spectacular festive campaign. The magazine’s January cover star, Azealia showcases a range of stylish looks from the upcoming Christmas collection in her music video. The height of online shopping, the video enables fashionistas to click through to the ensembles as worn by the rapper in an interactive, shop-able product carousel which also features movable hotspots.
Like all good girls who know that recording their life’s finest moments for posterity is a must, Azealia will be keeping a Pinterest party diary following her fashion exploits across the party season. And staying true to her musical roots, she has created a bespoke playlist of her favourite picks for the festive period which will also be available in the ASOS Christmas hub.
Azealia’s starring role in the fashion e-tailer’s Christmas campaign comes hot on the heels of model Charlotte Free’s December cover and sartorial starring turn, which included a shoppable video via her television channel Charlotte Free TV. ASOS’ Music Muse, Ellie Goulding also made an appearance in the latest issue listing her favourite tracks for the party season.
Azealia Banks’ debut album Broke With Expensive Taste will be released on 12 February 2013.
