Fendi’s summer is going to be bold, unique and scene-setting. That was the message loud and clear that came via a collection exuding luxury and extravagance with lightweight furs, embellished shiny shifts and glossy leather. Strong architectural shoulders proved once again this season that the shoulders have it and at Fendi they have it multiple, layered and curvaceous. A strong architectural and graphic motif was reflected through bold arrow markings on tunic dresses and long jackets, while volume came wrapped in honeycomb-embossed bombers. Mustard yellow, on-trend orange, duck-egg blue and caramel painted garments in vibrant Cubist patterns and footwear was techni-colour as the fashion house’s accessories set a statement with its Baguette, Peekaboo and 2Jour bags adorning the arms of its models.
